Director: Guido Verweyen

As a filmmaker, Guido Verweyen is passionate about stories that matter and inspire – stories about how ordinary people get transformed by extraordinary circumstances.

Upon graduation from the AFI, Guido began his career as a cinematographer on films like the Oscar nominated documentary “The Man On Lincoln’s Nose”. His early non-fiction success led to directing numerous TV series like “Raising Asia”, “Dance Moms”, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style” (Cine Golden Eagle Award), True Life (Emmy Award) and the true crime series “Blood Relatives” and “Murder Among friends”. His feature documentary “After The Fire”, based on the Pulitzer Prize story and NYTimes nonfiction bestseller, won him Best Director Award at Houston Intl. 

Executive Producer: Alois Rostek

International businessman, patron of culture, philanthropist. Born in Gliwice in Poland. Currently lives in Berlin and Krakow. Since 1994 he has been running his own business. Founder of the Rosco Polska Group- based in Krakow to which they belong: Rosco Steel (steel equipment), Rosco Eko-Tech (steel equipment), Agreemont (IT), Rosco HmbH (Berlin Real Estate Management),  Ro-ma-ro LCC (Florida trade), Art&Gifts (cultural activities); Rosco Tax (accounting), Rosco Chemrem (assembly), ZMR Chemrem Organika (production), Rosco Fitness (fitness), M&Luxury (trade). Alois Rostek is on the Management Boards or Supervisory Boards of the companies in group he created from scratch.The companies have a wide range of activities and an established position on the international market. In addition to his typical business activities, he is also the founder of the Art & Health Foundation and Ostoja Foundation. He is a member of the TPSP Kraków and member of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry AHK. Some of the companies in the group have received awards in prestigious “Business Gazelle ” ranking. He is a co-producer of films “These towns no longer exist”, “Enemy Within”(with Erik Roberts – premiere in Hollywood), “Werewolf” “W like a murder” and “The Green Wave”. He is also the publisher of “First Star” (carols) and the “Bird of Freedom” (pop music), “Love does wonders” (musical). Mr. Rostek provides financial and material support for cultural institutions, artists, foundations, societies, publishing houses, cultural and charitable events which has been awarded the prestigious title of Patron of Culture twice.

Carla Roda is an award winning editor and director from Barcelona, Spain who has been based in Los Angeles since 2014. Since 2018 Carla has focused a lot of her work in documentaries. She recently edited “Vote Neil” a documentary that was selected to Premier in Tribeca, 2020. Carla edited the feature documentary “We Stand Corrected” an alternative narrative to Ben Stiller’s Showtime limited series, “Escape at Dannemora”. She also edited the feature documentary “Our Quinceañera” that won Audience Award for Best Documentary at The Bentonville Film Festival and Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Panamanian International Film Festival in Los Angeles. Carla worked as an additional editor in the docuseries “Phenoms” by Fox Digital premiered in Tribeca Film Festival in 2018.
